We’re about the magical moments.
We’re a small company of friends that run trips in grand and far-flung places. We bring people together to create moments of awe — because we know that adventure ignites parts of us that are dormant — adventure ignites spirit and connection and deep-founded joy. We believe that people are craving moments of raw realness. That’s what our trips are about.
We know you have a lot of companies to chose between. Here’s some things that set us apart: small groups, expert guides, inclusive culture, better gear / lighter packs, delicious nutritious high-quality food, a perfect risk-management record, and a deep commitment to sustainability.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
If you’re looking for a fun challenge with incredible views, book a climbing experience with Jack. We were complete rock climbing beginners and Jack got us right on the cliff first thing in the morning! We felt safe and secure the entire time despite him really challenging us!! Jack was so positive, supportive, and friendly. He took extra measures to make our trip special for a birthday celebration and really went the extra mile! Surprising us with an exciting hike, we made it to the camping spot where he prepared a delicious meal and got camp ready. Sleeping on the port-a-ledge was my personal nightmare, but he made sure we felt so safe and comfortable with quick response time if we needed anything! Gorgeous views in Index and overall an amazing experience! Email Jack and he will tailor an amazing trip to whatever you want to conquer! Thanks so much, Jack!

My wife and will go to 2-3 guided trips a year, each associated with some type of alpine adventure. Our trip to the Cascades was truly special not only did we experience the Stuart Lake to Snow lake iconic hike, but also rock climbed and slept on a porta ledge. What made the trip spectacular for us was our guide Jack. He's super knowledgeable about the area and he totally taught this 50 something year old more than a thing or two about climbing and repelling. He was very attentive to all of our conversations and nailed the food options on our trips. He was always on time and made us laugh more than once. I look forward to heading out into the wild with him in the future. If you are lucky enough to find him with availability, I highly recommend booking an adventure with him.

Jack is a superstar. 12/10 would recommend.
I just got done with my second trip and already am ready to book my next. As a queer/trans person, I am often super nervous about going to new locations with new people — but he made sure that I was fully seen as a human and fully safe as a newer multi-pitch climber.
Also, not only is Jack a total badass pro climber and really knowledgable outdoors person, but he's also totally willing to meet people where they are. He cheered me through my absolute terror during a 5.6 lead climb 🤣 and pushed my partner on an 11a. All while cracking jokes, being goofy, and being a new friend in the mountains.

Jack was an absolutely wonderful guide. He was thorough, confident, full of entertaining stories and a very experienced guide. In addition to learning an abundance of information about technique and skill, he kept us laughing the entire trip. I can’t recommend him enough and would gladly book another tour with him. 10/10!

To celebrate my 45th birthday, we hired Indigo Alpine Guides (Jack) for an overnight portaledge cliff camping adventure in Index, Wa. This trip was so much more than we expected and then some. We’ve hired many guides in the past in different states and countries, and I will honestly say, that Jack is definitely is one of the best ones we’ve worked with! He has friendly, happy easy going demeanor, perfect attentional to details (he even brought a surprised candle and bday cupcake after dinner 😊), professional, and so much fun to be around. We will definitely do more future adventures with Indigo Alpine Guides!

I spent 6 days climbing with Jack and it was phenomenal. He taught me so much about rock climbing risk management. And i learned just about everything I wanted — enough to go climb on my own confidently.
— Dale R.
Climbing with Jack was soo much fun... he’s very relaxed and friendly but clearly a stand-out professional. He had such an attention to detail and really helped me improve my climbing technique.
— Jacob T.
Wow! Seeing stars from up there...the sunrise in the morning... breakfast and coffee in bed... this was the coolest guided experience i’ve ever done by far!
— AARON L.
This experience blew my mind. Jack was so patient and really helped me overcome my nervousness.

The most memorable morning of my life. Period.

Indigo Alpine Guides is amazing! I would highly recommend a trip with them and Jack. I hadn't done much backcountry backpacking, and he led us every day with his entrepreneurial & positive spirit, patience, wonderful companionship, and great food! He kept me feeling safe, confident, and motivated during the challenging parts, and kept me learning and laughing during the lighter parts. He is a truly an expert in every way at what he does.

My Potrero Chico trip with Indigo Alpine Guides was amazing in February 2022. Couldn't recommend enough!
As a queer non-binary person I felt completely seen and safe and free to focus on the climbing and beautiful scenery around me.
Our guide Jack was very experienced, knowledgeable, and a great teacher. This was my first experience with multi-pitch climbing, and after this trip I feel comfortable and safe doing it on my own.
— Jamie T.
Even spending a couple hours with Jack, you quickly get the sense that he is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of climbing safety - managing rope systems, navigating terrain hazards, to placing protection.
More importantly though, I enjoyed spending the alpine morning starts drinking his fancy aero-press coffee while bantering / holding deep conversations from topics from mental health to simulation theory at the same time :)
Needless to say, if you want to successfully and safely plan a trip and climb a mountain of your dreams, Jack is your guide to hire!

Jack and Indigo Alpine Guides are fantastic! We booked a 7 day backpacking trip in Alaska with them, and it was a great experience. All the logistics were seamless, and Jack's professionalism was outstanding guiding us through the Alaska backcountry. Extremely well done from start to finish.
